Accessibility
The street festival is for everyone, and this website should be too. This statement applies to www.flingern-strassenfest.de. The portal at app.flingern-strassenfest.de has its own accessibility statement (in German).
Accessibility status
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This website partially meets these requirements. The known limitations are listed below.
The Bürgerinitiative Flingern e.V. is a volunteer-run association. We publish this statement voluntarily because a festival for the whole neighbourhood matters to us.
What works well
- The page language is marked up (German or English), so screen readers pronounce the text correctly.
- The website is available in German and English.
- The pages are structured with headings and regions (header, navigation, content, footer).
- A “Skip to content” link lets keyboard users bypass the menu.
- All links and buttons can be reached with the keyboard. The focused element is marked with a clear outline.
- The logo in the middle of the page has a descriptive text. Purely decorative images are skipped by screen readers.
- The pages adapt to small screens and enlarged text without horizontal scrolling.
- If you have chosen “reduce motion” in your system settings, there are no scrolling animations.
- Text stands out clearly from the background. Yellow highlights are shown as a marker behind dark text.
- There are no videos, no audio and no time-limited content.
Known limitations
- Newsletter: Newsletter sign-up is not open yet, so the field and button are disabled. Until then, you can reach us by email.
- Portal only in German: The stall portal at app.flingern-strassenfest.de is currently available in German only.
- No Easy Read and no sign language: We do not currently offer content in Easy Read (Leichte Sprache) or German Sign Language.
We are working on removing these limitations.
